This work draws inspiration from the Ouroboros and Nuwa in Chinese mythology. The Ouroboros, a serpent devouring its own tail, is an ancient symbol found across cultures, representing the eternal cycle of life, death, and renewal. Its closed loop reflects a universe in constant motion, expanding and contracting, where beginnings and endings are inseparable.

In Chinese legend, Nuwa is a human–snake hybrid who created humanity. Hybrid human-serpent figures appear in many mythological traditions, embodying both continuity and transformation. By combining the Ouroboros with Nuwa’s form, the sculpture explores the duality of human nature and the cyclical patterns that bind creation, destruction, and rebirth. The work emphasizes interconnectedness, suggesting existence as a continuous process rather than a linear progression.
